Course description
his programme is specifically designed for those students who wish to follow a professional career in accounting and finance, and whose aim is to obtain a globally recognised professional accounting qualification as well as a masters degree.
The programme is currently under development and will be ready for launch in September 2008. It is being developed in response to student demand for a Masters in Accounting and Finance which is closely linked to the professional accounting bodies, in particular the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Successful graduates of the programme will have achieved passes in ACCA's professional examinations papers, enabling them to become ACCA members; they will also obtain a recognised academic masters degree, in effect two qualifications. ACCA have been involved in the initial stages of the development of this programme and are very supportive.
The programme provides a fast-track to an ACCA professional qualification and the ability to achieve two recognised qualifications; one academic and one professional. The programme is delivered by academically experienced and professionally qualified staff.
