Get behind the scenes and right to the centre of Hatton Garden through our unique jewellery apprenticeships! Our Level 2 Apprenticeships will take around 1 year to complete.

   

  If you are aged 16-23 want to earn a salary whilst working, learning and gaining a qualification then this is for you.

   

  What happens on the course?

   

  Through the programme you will be continuously assessed both in the Academy and through visits in the workplace and on a day release at the Academy.

   

  ·         Designing jewellery by drawing and traditional techniques

  ·         Designing jewellery using Computer Aided Design

  ·         The jewellery industry as a career option, its jobs and possibilities

  ·         Making jewellery by hand

  ·         Enamelling jewellery

  ·         Engraving jewellery

  ·         Setting gemstones

  ·         Finishing jewellery using techniques such as polishing

   

  What do I need to know to take the course?

   

  You do need to be dedicated in order to be taken on to our programme – we will be placing you with real life employers who, whilst they won’t expect you to make much jewellery to start with, will expect you to behave like an employee. This means showing up for work every day, on time and with the right attitude.
