  Course Structure
  
  Year 1
  
  Eligibility - Entry in September of each year. Entry qualifications are 220 Curriculum 2000 points including two 6-unit level awards plus Mathematics and English GCSE at grade C or above. Equivalent qualifications to these are acceptable, for example, AVCEs, professional body technician level qualifications, holders of degrees in disciplines other than accountancy/finance/business and appropriate overseas qualifications.

  Corporate and Business Law
  
  Year 2
  
  Eligibility for direct entrants - Students holding passes or exemptions against at least five papers from
  ACCA Fundamentals.
  
  Study- 5 papers - Taxation
  
  Financial Reporting
  
  Audit and Assurance
  
  Financial Management
  
  Performance Management
  
  Year 3
  
  Eligibility - Students progressing from year 2, direct entrants holding at least 9 ACCA papers or holders of honours degrees in Accounting and Finance providing exemptions from all of the Fundamentals level.

  And up to two options from the following:
  
  Advanced Financial Management
  
  Advanced Performance Management

  Two papers will be examined in December and three in June
  
  All examinations are set by ACCA.
  
  Teaching and Assessment
  
  It is the responsibility of students to enter themselves for the external professional examinations by the deadlines set by ACCA. As a registered student ACCA will send you reminders and you can enter for the examinations through ACCA?s website. Details appear in ACCA?s student newsletter.
  
  Career Opportunities
  
  On successful completion of all 14 papers you will be able to apply for full membership of ACCA, as long as you are able to satisfy the practical experience requirements. Accountants are very much in demand and the course provides a suitable professional qualification to enable you to develop a career within the profession, in industry or the public sector.
  
  Special Features
  
  The MA in Accounting and Finance is available for students who have successfully completed all 14 papers of the ACCA. This enables you to top up your ACCA qualification to a master?s degree by research methods and dissertation modules from the following September.
  
  Other Information
  
  Part-time students attend either day release or evening, subject to numbers enrolled. Full-time students attend primarily during the day with some evening classes
