  • Objectives
The Department of French at King's offers the possibility of study across the whole range of French language and literature from the Middle Ages to the present day, as well as courses in French history, contemporary French institutions, film, politics and philosophy. As the range and nature of the modules we offer suggest, we value innovative approaches to French literary and historical studies. Some of these modules are taught in small groups and exploit imaginative resources such as recent French films and videos, and one year of thise programme is spent in a French-speaking country.
