    Programme

This course aims to teach the skills students need to become journalists, but with a strong, unashamed emphasis on developing practical skills. Students won't just talk about journalism - they will do it.

The course aims to meet the exacting standards of UK journalism's training authority, the NCTJ, and to this end students will study a broad curriculum which emphasises practical journalism, but also covers the vital areas of media law, public affairs, shorthand and moral and ethical issues.

Taught by experts, most of them senior, practising journalists, the course aims to allow students to specialise in their preferred branch of journalism, particularly newspapers, magazines and multi-media.
