    Programme

Marketing is both a philosophy and a critical element of business strategy, and aspects of marketing are often responsible for the success or failure of an organisation, product or service. Those organisations that focus on the needs of their customers and employees are much more profitable. We teach well-founded marketing principles that can be applied to real situations and show how they are applied in practice.

The first year of this programme introduces the basic principles of business, management, finance and marketing. The second and third years include a range of specialist core modules such as Advertising and Promotion, Brand Management, Buyer Behaviour, Marketing Research, Marketing Project and Strategic Marketing Management. Optional modules might include International Marketing, Interactive and Direct Marketing, Non-Profit Marketing, Customer Management, Interactive Marketing Campaign and E-Marketing.

This Marketing degree has close links with industry with several of the modules incorporating projects that involve working with live clients, agencies and industry bodies.

Marketing can also be studied as a Joint Honours Degree and combined with subjects such as Computing, HRM, Law, Media Studies or Psychology.
