Comments about BA Turkish & Modern Greek Studies - At the institution - London - Greater London

  • Objectives
Greece and Turkey are situated at the cultural crossroads of Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Traditionally, the relationship between the two countries has been viewed as one fraught by political tensions and antagonism. Such a perspective, however, does not do justice to the extensive cultural encounters that have taken place between the two peoples over time. These encounters can be traced back to the legacy of the Greek-speaking empire of Byzantium and the multilingual empire of the Ottoman Turks that succeeded it.

We ask for 320 UCAS points i.e. AAC or ABB A level grades. Our teaching does not presuppose any previous knowledge of computer science and in selecting candidates for admission we do not insist on evidence of prior competence in computer programming.
