    Programme

    First Year

You will be introduced to the use of both mathematical statistics and mathematical techniques relevant to the study of economics, business and finance, and receive training in the use of information technology.

    Second Year

You will develop your knowledge and understanding of the application of statistics to business economics. Microeconomics, macroeconomic theory and macroeconomics and finance are studied to provide an appropriate economics background to the study of business economics, and specialist modules in principles of finance and business management and strategy further develop subject-specific skills in these areas.

    Third Year

Modules in managerial economics, management science and corporate finance develop specialist knowledge in these business-orientated areas. Statistical expertise is enhanced through the study of business forecasting, and a computer-based empirical forecasting project promotes the acquisition of practical skills in this field. In addition, you may choose from a range of advanced topics in economic theory, its applications to financial decision-making and the economic analysis of government and international policy.
