  • Objectives
    Knowledge and understanding of Chemistry has inspired many of the major advances of modern society and underpins most industrial activities. This degree provides you with an intensive basic training in Chemistry and includes a specialist treatment of selected major areas.
  • Entry requirements
    You are expected to have GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above (or equivalent). You are expected to achieve one of the following: at least 160 points from two or more A-levels, including chemistry; or at least 160 points from two A-levels (Applied subjects) in science; or a BTEC National Diploma in Science with MMP and at least four merits in the final year, excluding common skills. Relevant Foundation or Access courses will be considered.

    Course structure

    For Single Honours, you take eight modules at each level. Joint Honours involves four modules from each level in Chemistry, plus four from your other subject.
