  • Objectives
    This course enables you to qualify as a Specialist Practitioner in one of the following: District nursing - practice nursing - community mental health nursing. The degree helps you to build on your previous nursing experience by developing your skills in reflective practice, teamworking and management. It is also possible to study for the DipHE Community Nursing (level 2). A unique aspect of the course is that the curriculum has been designed in conjunction with social work professionals. This ensures that it reflects the real world of practice and has been developed according to users and carers experiences.
  • Entry requirements
    All applicants must be registered nurses with live NMC registration. Degree applicants must be registered on the appropriate part/s of the NMC register for their chosen specialism with appropriate post-registration experience and level 2 credit for direct entry to the degree.

    Course structure

    The diploma and degree courses each consist of eight modules at each level.

    Level 1 credit is awarded against first level nursing qualifications.
