Comments about BSc Finance - At the institution - London - Greater London

  • Objectives
This course prepares you for a wide range of careers within the financial sector, from portfolio and risk management to corporate finance, accounting and trading. We are ideally located in the heart of the City, where many of our graduates work in senior positions, and industry guest lecturers are regular visitors to the University. Our close links with Bloomberg and other financial institutions have enabled us to set up a simulated trading room, giving you direct experience of how a typical dealing room operates. Drawing on economics, finance and accounting, the course helps you to acquire an in-depth knowledge of key financial concepts, theories and models. You also develop the tools to analyse financial decisions, deal with financial and economic problems, and consider the ethical issues involved.
  • Entry requirements
You should have 200 points from two A-levels but Admissions tutors may vary this in individual cases. Candidates should have GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent, in English Language and Mathematics. Commitment to the course and ability to benefit from it are also important. People from a wide range of educational and employment backgrounds will be considered.
