  • Objectives
    This course looks at how the human body functions during exercise and sport, aiming to equip you with the skills and knowledge to find a career in the health and fitness industries, sports and exercise sciences, or within education. You cover the important scientific aspects of sports science, and develop the skills and knowledge needed for coaching. Professional coaching requires a strong scientific background and confidence in dealing with people.
  • Entry requirements
    You should have GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C or above (or equivalent), plus 160 points from two or more A2/A-levels including Biology and Physical Education or Science; or 160 points from two A-levels (Applied subjects) in Science; or MMP in BTEC National Diploma in Science with at least four merits in the final year, which include biology-related modules but exclude common skills. Entry from appropriate Foundation and Access courses will also be considered.
