    You should be aged between 16-21.No formal qualifications are needed. You must be able to travel independently, take responsibility for attending your timetable classes, and be prepared to have a literacy and numeracy test so that your learning plan can be tailored to suit your needs as far as possible. You must be able to make a commitment towards the course.

    1 or 2 years full-time.

    Where does it lead?
    The course offers you the opportunity to gain the Edexcel Entry Level Certificate in Skills for Working Life.

    Emphasis is placed on developing literacy and numeracy core skills at the students own pace. Success on this programme can lead to or Entry to Employment Programmes, or specific vocational training.

    What does the course include?
    There will be weekly classes in Communications, numeracy, Literacy IT, and Work Skills as well as Tutorials. You will have an individual learning plan and careers guidance and be able to choose one or more of the following vocational areas (after an induction programme):

    -Catering
    -Business and Administration
    -Painting and Decorating
    -Health and Social Care
    -Woodwork
