    This programme provides a broad-based approach to electronic engineering with the emphasis in the first year on basic principles, and developing in the second year to a more detailed consideration of the techniques used in communication systems, control and micro-electronics.

    The programme is followed on a part-time day basis with industrial experience being obtained at the students’ place of work when they are not attending college. Attainment of the HNC award enables students to progress to a BEng degree qualification, also on a part-time basis.
