    Studying for an MPhil/PhD will prepare you for a professional career within the growing field of environmental policy, consultancy or research (academic or applied).

    A research degree will equip you with the skills to collect, synthesise and analyse primary and secondary data on an environmental issue and develop original thinking in relation to policy or theoretical frameworks.     Birkbeck offers a wide range of interdisciplinary research opportunities in environmental management, embracing geography, earth sciences, biological and chemical sciences, management and organisational psychology, law, and social and natural sciences. You can undertake research in one or more subject areas, attached to one or more academic Schools accordingly.
