    What will you study?
    You will take courses in historiography and documentary analysis, and learn how to apply these to your chosen subject area in modern history. You will engage with issues relating to archival research and information retrieval and receive research training at an advanced level. You may take classes in a relevant historical area or extend your subject expertise through using elective modules.

    The focal point of the MA will be your dissertation, which will enable you to focus on a particular aspect of modern history in depth.
