Objectives:
NVQ 3 Hospitality Supervision aims to develop your skills and knowledge to meet the needs of a modern day restaurant. As hospitality becomes ever more competitive, the advantage lies with those who have higher qualifications together with good experience. NVQ Level 3 Hospitality Supervision will provide you with a qualification that will progress your career and give you a competitive edge.
Entry Requirements:
Relevant industrial experience and reasonable literacy and numeracy skills, NVQ Level 2 Food and Drink Service or equivalent qualification.
Course Description:
What you learn
-HS1 Supervise the work of staff.
-HS2 Establish and develop positive working relationships in hospitality.
-HS3 Contribute to the contral of resources.
-HS4 Maintain the health, hygiene, safety and security of the working environment.
-HS5 (MCI) Manage yourself.

-HS8 Supervise a function.
-HS10 Maintain the food service.
-HS27 Control practices for handling payments.

What next?
Level 3 is a supervisory qualification that provides you with a progression opportunity for promotion at work and access to higher level qualifications such as NVQ Level 4 and Foundation Degrees.

How is the course assessed?
Underpinning knowledge will be assessed in thoery classess using a series of questions. Practical assessment will be carried out during the two years either in the Gallery Restaurant or in your work place subject to appropriateness.
