    Postgraduate legal qualifications in business law are prized in an increasingly competitive world. This postgraduate programme provide students with the opportunity to critically analyse and evaluate the laws governing business and international business relationships.


    Reasons to choose International Business Law LLM degree

    This programme is for Law graduates who wish to specialise in international business law or graduates in business related disciplines (with some legal knowledge) seeking an international business perspective.

    Course content

    Students can expect to study three mandatory modules:

        * International Business Law
        * International Trade Law
        * International Tax Law

    Plus one other module chosen from:

        * Corporate Rescue and Insolvency
        * E-Commerce Law
        * Employment Law

    Together with single modules in Research Skills and Research Design, students may study up to two of the following business competencies (in lieu of a fourth law module):

        * Financial Statement Analysis
        * Human Resources Management
        * Managing in the Business Environment
        * Marketing Management
        * Strategic Management

    Students subsequently complete a research dissertation on a subject of interest relevant to the programme.

    Teaching, learning and assessment
    The course is taught via workshops, lectures and seminars. Assessment is by coursework, short class-based examinations and presentation of workshop papers.
    Course structure

    Modules are taught in ten- to twelve-week terms from:

        * September to December
        * January to April
        * April to May

    This is followed by the presentation of a dissertation.

    Research opportunities

    Submission of 50 credit dissertation and possible progression to MPhil/PhD
