    Legal Practice Course LPC
  • Course description
The City Law School offers a full-time Legal Practice Course (LPC), successful completion of which leads to City University’s respected Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. The Course is small, but high quality. It is the only LPC in London rated “Excellent” by the Law Society.  The Course has been designed to meet the demands of the modern legal profession and our objective is to turn out students who are fully prepared for practice.

The LPC is a major step towards qualification as a solicitor, and is the bridge between completion of your academic stage of education (law degree or CPE) and your entry into practice.

The key to success on the LPC is to approach the Course as the beginning of your professional career in practice.  What will be expected of you on the Course is exactly what will be expected of you in practice.  Those who succeed need to be hard-working and self-reliant, and need to have the skills necessary to represent effectively a wide range of clients.

However, the Course is also designed to provide students with every chance to succeed: you will have the benefit of a dedicated LPC suite, a state-of-the-art interactive lecture theatre, modern IT-based law library and dedicated student common room, as well as personal support on the Course, careers advice, and social and supporting activities through the student association.  There is also the opportunity to participate in the School’s pro bono programme.
