- the most wide ranging course in its field covering areas from climate change through the preservation of culture to issues of conflict, terrorism and war.

There will be two designated teaching days each week. You will study three core subjects and choose three options from a total of four. The core topics are: ethics; contemporary political philosophy; ideological conflict, belief and philosophy. The options will depend on the research interests of staff at any given time and so may vary. It is currently planned to offer: human responsibility for the world and its future; one world: justice and globalisation; the ethics of global culture; conflict: its origins, ethics and containment.
Programme format and assessment
Taught mainly by seminars, to encourage active student participation in critical enquiry. Assessment will be by a mix of coursework, a review/research proposal, examination and dissertation.
