    Module details
    A range of course-units in mathematical logic are offered by the School of Mathematics. Optional course-units are available in theoretical computer science and in linguistics.

    Progression and assessment
    Examinations on most taught course-units for both the MSc and PGDip are held in January and April/May. The MSc dissertation is prepared between May and September. For Diploma students a short project is normally completed in May and June. The taught course units have an element of continuous assessment which normally constitutes 20% of the assessment assigned to the course unit.

    The programmes will prepare students for a broad range of careers in the financial sector requiring high quantitative and mathematical skills. The programme would also provide an excellent background for students wishing to pursue advanced postgraduate research in this area.
