This programme aims to provide a flexible route for well-qualified candidates. The programme is delivered in Oman by University of Glasgow staff and aims to provide courses and research training relevant to the fields of English, educational and cultural studies.

Entry requirements Normally a 2.1 Honours degree or the equivalent.

Content

The programme is made up of five courses plus advanced study skills training and a research methods course in the first year and a dissertation in the second year.

    * English literature
    * English language and linguistics
    * Second language acquisition and English language teaching
    * Introduction to British cultural studies.

The first year of the programme is delivered in Oman by University staff. However a minimum period of two weeks' attendance on campus at Glasgow is mandatory as part of the dissertation requirement.
