We will use a state-of-the-art e-learning system which has been proven to be highly effective and easy to use. Each module contains case studies for you to work through to help you to understand the theory. There are also quizzes so that you can test your understanding of the concepts involved. There will be several support mechanisms to help you such as an email helpline and online discussion boards. It is essential, therefore, that you have access to a standalone PC or shared network using Windows NT3.5.1, NT4.0, ME 2000 or XP operating system, with 10MB disk space and with appropriate access permission set. You will also need an email facility and access to the internet.

Although you will study much of the course by distance learning, it is important that you feel part of a coherent group and that you meet others on the course as well as your academic and commercial tutors. This is one of the reasons why the practical resource management module will be delivered as a seven-day intensive residential course. This method of delivery has also been chosen because it is the most efficient use of time for those in work or studying abroad.
