  • Course description
    This distance learning programme in Chemical Technology and Management builds on the success of the Integrated Graduate Development Scheme in Process Technology & Management and is based on a partnership between the Department of Chemical and Process Engineering and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC).

    The programme meets the management development needs of members of the RSC and those working in the chemical, pharmaceutical and process industries. The programme is directed at people working as chemists in R&D, and to those in manufacturing and business management roles.

    An appropriate selection of core and elective modules is available to allow participants from a wide range of backgrounds and industries to complete the course.

    The MSc requires 12 taught modules (comprising eight core and four elective) and a work-based project rated at three modules equivalent. The Diploma requires ten modules and the Certificate five modules.

    Note: This programme is only available on a part-time basis.

    Course Length

    MSc: normally three years (five modules per year).
    PgDip: normally two years.
    PgCert: normally one year.
