    Entry requirements Good Honours degree or equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or related area, or appropriate science subject. Applicants with other qualifications or appropriate professional experience will also be considered. English requirements for overseas applicants are: TOEFL score of 575 with 4.5 in TWE; IELTS score of 6.5 with 5 or higher in each component.

    Three core modules common to all five MSc (Res) courses, six option modules, substantial research project.

    -High Temperature Deformation and Fracture
    -Signal Processing and Instrumentation
    -Structural Vibration: Analysis and Practice
    -Tribology of Machine Elements.

    Teaching
    A modular programme offering a full-time advanced taught course based on the research expertise within the department.
