    You will study the following compulsory core units:

    -Software engineering
    -Project management
    -Software measurement and testing
    -Formal methods in software engineering
    -Object-oriented process and techniques
    -Masters skills and practice
    -Windows application programming and development

    You must also undertake a substantial project where you will apply the skills and knowledge from the taught part of the course to a practical software engineering problem, usually supplied by local businesses or other external clients.

    In addition to the compulsory core units, there will be the opportunity to choose a further two optional specialist units from fields such as:

    -Computer graphics
    -Artificial intelligence
    -Computer assisted learning
