    PgDip: 9 months full-time; 18 months part-time; up to four years on modular route

    There is a growing awareness of the significance of public policy towards cities and neighbourhoods. This programme locates housing policy within this broader framework. It is particularly appropriate for those with some practical or academic background in housing or related areas.

    Content

    MSc students take three core courses, up to five options and complete a dissertation. PgDip students do taught courses only.

        * Changing cities and neighbourhoods
        * Contemporary government and governance
        * Policy analysis.


    At least 40 credits of options from:

        * Crime and community safety
        * Designing places
        * Housing and social inclusion
        * Housing market analysis
        * Neighbourhood regeneration and community participation
        * Strategic management and decision-making
        * Sustainable housing development.

    For the remaining 20 credits there is a free choice from a range of options. All courses are taught in intensive two or four day modules.
