Course descriptionThis programme’s variety of courses and practical work help produce multi-skilled graduates able to gain employment within many areas of the animal industry.
Students’ learning is further enhanced by visits and talks from leading organisations in the animal industry. The college has close links with the Veterinary Laboratories Agency, Kent and Sussex Wildlife Trusts, Association of British Wild Animal Keepers and the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. Successful field trips have run for several years and include whale-watching in Tenerife, a study tour at Jersey Zoo and a conservation field trip working for the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation. The latter also provides opportunities for graduates to work as volunteers in the field for six months.

Specialist equipment / facilities
Over 120 species, paddocks with grazing animals and specialist rooms for aquatics, reptiles, invertebrates and small mammals. In addition, exotic bird aviaries, a veterinary examination room and a new arctic fox enclosure
