The course is intended for building professionals from all backgrounds. Postgraduate study for graduates in early or mid-career is often difficult, therefore the programme is offered by distance learning, allowing students a considerable degree of flexibility. As there are no formal classes, students can study at a pace to suit their work or personal commitments. It is also possible to take a break in study between modules. The programme can be completed after two years or up to a maximum of five years. It is also possible to take individual components as CPD.

Students receive comprehensive course materials and study packs for each module by post and also available online. Course materials include written guidance on completion of assignments and dissertations. Students are in regular contact with tutors via email, telephone or post.

    Overview

The programme will be jointly delivered with the School of Arts, Culture and the Environment at the University of Edinburgh taking advantage of the different skills available in each institution using a distance-learning mode.
