  • Entry requirements Entry requirements Students should normally have a good portfolio, plus one of the following: * Successful completion of an Art and Design Foundation Course * National Diploma merit profile in a relevant subject * 240 points, to include two GCE/VCE A Levels with grade C in one art or design subject * All equivalent international qualifications are welcome, as are applications from mature students (21+) with alternative qualifications and/or work experience.

    Programme

    The course includes design, drawing, writing and use of animation and visual effects tools. Students have opportunities to participate in various festivals and awards and work on live project briefs set by industry partners. They graduate with a showreel of work which demonstrates their skills. The course covers four key areas:

        * Animation design incorporates storyboarding, character design and development and animation
        * Animation production covers fundamentals in modelling, lighting, texturing, camera techniques, motion capture, rendering and use of tools to express visions
        * Visual design consists of design aesthetics, cinematography, composition, narrative storytelling, concept developments and screen design
        * Visual effects production covers techniques for compositing computer-generated imagery with video footage to enhance digital productions.
