  • Entry requirements Applicants will normally hold a social work qualification recognised by the Health and Care Professions Council or a qualification in an allied profession. You must hold at least a Diploma level qualification, such as a Diploma in Higher Education (DipHE). If English is not your first language you'll need IELTS (Academic) 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in each component.

  • Course description This dynamic programme is mapped against the College of Social Work's Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) and reflects the NHS Leadership Qualities Framework. It's designed for first line managers and supervisors in health and social care who lead teams, manage resources and lead service improvement projects. It meets the requirements for the General Social Care Council (GSCC) Specialist Award in Leadership and Management and encourages interprofessional learning.

    The course supports the social care sector with implementing the Skills for Care and Children's Workforce Development Council's leadership and management strategy and addresses the Department of Health's initiatives in leadership development.
