Objectives
* Have you ever found yourself wondering why a particular 'thing' was designed like that? Does it work properly or is there a problem with it? Could you improve on it? Have you ever taken products (household objects, etc...) apart just to see how they work, how they fit together…?" If the answer is "yes" to any of these questions, then Industrial design is a course you should consider. * This sees a strong integration of traditional drawing skills alongside those of the contemporary including CAD and Rapid Prototyping. * Use new technologies alongside traditional methods, with the intention of integrating them in the process of design and manufacture. * Design products that have intrinsic aesthetic qualities, but also are both usable and manufacturable.

Entry requirements
The university requires you to have at least 2 A Levels (or equivalent) to begin an Honours Undergraduate Degree Programme or at least one for a Foundation Degree. The entry requirements for undergraduate degrees are given generally in UCAS Tariff Points.
