BA International History and International Politics

  • Objectives Based in the Department of History and taught jointly with the Department of Politics. The course provides a comparative and international perspective on the world, offering modules on Europe, Africa, South and East Asia, Australasia and the Pacific. The impact of both imperialism and decolonisation is emphasised. Influential movements and worldviews and their origins are also explained.
  • Entry requirements -GCE/VCE A Levels - ABB (including History) -Two GCE A Levels plus two GCE AS Levels - AB (Hist)+AB -Scottish Highers - ABBB -Irish Leaving Cert. - AABBB -International Baccalaureate - 33 points -Core requirements - two GCE A levels including normally a grade B in GCE A level History. If Politics is taken at GCE A Level, grade B is required.
