BA Portuguese & Brazilian Studies

  • Objectives The study of Portuguese embraces the language, history and culture of four continents: Europe, America, Africa and Asia. The department is exclusively devoted to studying the Lusophone world and offers an unrivalled choice of courses in literature, cultural history and history together with the opportunity to gain a high level of linguistic proficiency.
  • Entry requirements We ask for 320 UCAS points i.e. AAC or ABB A level grades. Our teaching does not presuppose any previous knowledge of computer science and in selecting candidates for admission we do not insist on evidence of prior competence in computer programming.
