BEng Aerospace Engineering

  • Objectives Our programmes differ from traditional aeronautical engineering courses in that they span a broad range of subjects from advanced materials and mechanical engineering through to computer science, electronic and electrical engineering and aerospace control systems. These are pulled together by the study of topics such as flight mechanics, propulsion, avionics and aerostructures.
  • Entry requirements -GCE/VCE A Levels - 320 points (ABB) from 3 A Levels, or 2 GCE A Levels and 2 AS Levels -BTEC National Diploma - 280 points with Distinction in Further Maths for Technicians -Scottish Highers - 320 points including AH Maths and Physics from 3AH or 2 AH plus 2H -Irish Leaving Cert. - 320 points from 5 Highers including 77 and 64 in Maths and Physics HL -International Baccalaureate - 31 points including 6 HL Maths and Physics -Core Requirements - GCE A Level Maths plus either GCE A Level Physics or VCE A Level Engineering/Science -Students without Maths or Physics can enter our courses after taking the first year of H301 MEng/MechF (Mechanical Engineering with a Foundation Year).
