BSc Networks and Communication Engineering

  • Objectives Communications technology requires knowledge of the interaction of hardware and software in complex networks. With a solid grounding in communications and software, and a particular focus on the rapidly expanding Internet and other networks, this course provides both versatility and specialisation. The course encompasses knowledge and techniques from the wide range of disciplines required to design and implement networks and understand, support and design systems for the communications industry. These techniques include signal processing, computing, mathematics, operating systems and network technology, as well as the detailed study of particular communication systems.
  • Entry requirements Entry Requirements 200 UCAS points from a minimum of two A2 levels including one technical subject eg CDD in three A2 level subjects. Equivalent qualifications will also be considered. Mature candidates with relevant industrial experience are encouraged to apply.
