Canine Science Diploma

  • Course description
    • The course aims to provide students with a level 3 (advanced) knowledge regarding the evolution, physiology and behaviour of the grey wolf (Canis lupus) and the domestic dog (Canis familiaris).
    • It then applies this knowledge to the behaviour of the domestic dog in a domestic environment.
    • This includes recent approaches to control and behavioural therapy. 
    • According to national framework guidelines, the course has been assessed as Level 3.
    • The course has open entry status. Anyone wishing to study canine  science and behaviour can enrol. 
    • The course is conducted by post and assessment takes the form of question papers alongside report writing.
