This one year day or two year evening course is designed for those:- With commitments that prevent them from attending a full time programme; who wish to gain a qualification to practice in the Beauty Therapy Industry; add to their existing qualifications;update their beauty therapy knowledge.
The intensive level 2 Beauty Therapy day programme is offered with school friendly hours. The evening course is usually suitable for students with work or carer commitments.
Course content
Students will cover the following subjects:
* Working in beauty therapy;
* Maintain health and safety in the salon;
* Consult and advise clients on treatments;
* Improve and maintain facial skin conditions;
* Remove hair using waxing treatments;
* Provide pedicure treatments;
* Provide manicure treatments;
* Provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments;
* Relevant underpinning knowledge;
* Anatomy and physiology.
Teaching and assessment
The Course is both practical and theory based. Students will be required to dedicate at least 6 hours of home study per week to complete all written work and practice technical skills. Work experience would be beneficial but is not compulsory.
