Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences - Research, MPhil-PhD

  • Entry requirements Entry Requirements Normally a 2.1 honours degree in a related subject, although each application will be considered on its merits

  • Course description Normally students register initially for an MPhil. After approximately 1 to 1.5 years, the student submits a comprehensive transfer report in order to be considered for transfer to PhD. Upon acceptance of the report, the student is permitted to continue to completion of the PhD.

    Possible areas for research in chemical and pharmaceutical sciences include: materials analysis, biophysical chemistry, molecular spectroscopy and biomaterials.

    MPhil/PhD opportunities are available across the range of activities within the School of Science, including chemical and pharmaceutical sciences, biomedical sciences and earth and environmental sciences, and the strong industry-focused department called Medway Sciences.
