Creative Imaging MA

  • Objectives The course aims to develop confident graphic designers to a postgraduate level who will then be able to enhance existing businesses or establish new enterprises. It is suitable for anyone who wishes to develop their understanding of creative business practice, including the entrepreneurial and organisational framework. It is open to anyone with a good degree in almost any discipline, but will particularly attract design, technology and business graduates.
  • Entry requirements Entry Requirements Successful applicants will be invited to an interview to assess whether they have an appropriate business or commercial dimension within their previous experience. Applicants who do not have significant business and/or commercial experience will be expected to have a degree or equivalent at a minimum 2:1 level of award. You may claim Accreditation of Prior Learning and Achievement (APLA) or Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) which is equivalent to that arising from relevant modules of study. The School Accreditation and Validation Panel will consider each applicant individually to assess whether you have acquired the appropriate skills and knowledge for the course.

    Year 1

    Term 1

    Creativity and Innovative Futures (15 credits)
    The Rise of Consumerism and Brand Awareness (15 credits)

    Term 2

    Minor Master's Design Projects (30 credits) You will need 60 credits for the award of Postgraduate Certificate in Creative Imaging.

    Term 3

    Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Action (15 credits)
    Global Consumerism and Behaviour (option) (15 credits)

    Year 2

    Term 4

    Design Strategy Planning Project (30 credits) You will need 60 credits for the award of Postgraduate Diploma in Creative Imaging.

    Term 5

    Innovation Investigation Management (15 credits)
    Professional Practice Development (15 credits)

    Term 6

    Major Master's Design Project (60 credits)

    You will need 60 credits for the award of MA in Creative Imaging.
