Diploma in Public Service Interpreting

  • Course description The DPSI (Diploma in Public Service Interpreting) is the only generally recognised professional qualification offered for interpreters working in the public sector in the UK.

Most public sector organisations are now insisting that interpreters have this qualification, including the Scottish Court Service, Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration, NHS, most Councils, the Ministry of Justice and Police Authorities.

The DPSI is open to any bilingual speakers who are fluent in two or more languages, irrespective of previous qualifications.
