The Finance BSc Honours will enable you to develop your understanding of modern finance theories and applications. A unique feature of this course is that you will be able to use Westminster Business School’s Financial Markets Suite (FMS), showing you how the markets operate in real time. The FMS utilises the Bloomberg platform, a state-of-the-art teaching and research resource used widely by leading global financial institutions.

The skills and knowledge you develop will open up a range of job opportunities in areas such as asset financing, banking, financial planning, hedge funds, investment analysis, risk management, stockbroking, wealth management and treasury. As well as a firm grounding in finance fundamentals alongside core modules in management, the course offers you the opportunity to study a wide variety of specialist finance modules including banking, corporate finance, corporate governance, financial markets, financial modelling and statistics, investments, portfolio management, risk management, and securities analysis.

Teaching methods focus on active student learning through seminars, workshops, problem-based and blended learning (including group work) designed to engage your interest in the finance subject area. Assessment methods may include essays, reports, presentations, case studies, and in-class tests as well as time-constrained exams.
