INTRODUCTION

The African Leadership Centre (ALC) degree programmes will start in autumn 2013 with the introduction of two new master’s degrees. A PhD programme will be introduced at the same time, with an undergraduate programme starting at a later date.

In the 2012-3 academic year, the Centre has taught four master's level modules: Emerging Powers in Global Leadership, Leadership and Society, Natural Resource Governance and The State and Development in Africa and Asia. These will also be part of the MSc programmes from 2013.

For 2013, the following new master’s degrees will be on offer:

    MSc Leadership and Development
    MSc Security, Leadership and Society


FACILITIES
The ALC is based at the King's Strand Campus in the heart of central London giving students access to numerous scholarly facilities offered by one of the world's great cities. Students enrolled on the programmes have access to the University of London's community of colleges and libraries and a vast array of academic, social and cultural activities.

FUNDING
The MSc programme Security, Leadership and Society offers ten African Leadership Centre Peace, Security and Development Fellowships for African Scholars (includes overseas fees and living costs).
