Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Part-time)

  • Objectives The University of Wolverhampton Business School’s MBA was one of the first to be awarded by a Higher Education establishment in the UK - it has been designed to meet the development needs of both UK and international graduates, managers and practitioners The MBA consists of modules that build together into a comprehensive programme of advanced study, covering functional knowledge, skills and specialist expertise, which is combined with a strongly integrative strategic core area of study It is intended to benefit participants who already have management experience and has been designed with an emphasis on the practical application of theory to the problems of management in both smaller and larger organisations which may be in the private, public or not-for-profit sectors The award is strongly internationalist in outlook, reflecting the growing impact of globalisation on organisations. It provides the concepts, theory and understanding necessary to manage organisations, through a rigorous and clearly focused academic programme of study Participants, normally drawn from many sectors, organisational types and sizes, are encouraged to contribute to the course and this rich mix of experience adds substantially to the learning experience
  • Entry requirements Successful applicants will normally be over 23-years-old at the start of the programme and occupy, or have occupied, positions of management responsibility for a minimum of two years You will also need to hold an Honours degree from a UK university or overseas equivalent, or a professional qualification considered equivalent to an appropriate Honours degree, or qualifications and experience considered equivalent to the above Mature students with significant management experience who can demonstrate previous non-certified learning equivalent to the above are also welcome to apply - in such cases, admission to the programme will be based on an evaluation of your ability to contribute to, benefit from, and achieve the award
