    - Intercollegiate lectures draw on the full wealth of expertise across the University of London coupled with one-to-one tutorials with members of King’s own permanent faculty.
    - Wide selection of optional topics available, covering the whole philosophical spectrum from aesthetics to the philosophy of mathematics and everything in between.
    - Option to complete the degree in one year full-time study or part-time in two.

    You specialise in three areas, usually chosen from the MA seminar topics on offer. (Only one of these may have been previously taken at BA level.) In addition you write a dissertation.

    Topics may include: General Philosophy; Aesthetics; Ethics; Political Philosophy; Epistemology and Methodology; Logic and Metaphysics; Philosophy of Science; Philosophy of Mathematics; Ancient Philosophy; Philosophy of Language; Arabic Philosophy; Early Modern Philosophy; Gender & Philosophy; Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Psychology; Philosophy of Religion; Schopenhauer & Nietzsche.

    The general philosophy paper is taken by all those who have little or no background in the subject. It introduces basic philosophical methods, techniques and terminology and acquaints you with some of the most important and influential writings on the subject.

    Programme format and assessment

    Taught courses assessed by coursework and/or examination plus a dissertation of 10,000 words.

    One year FT, two years PT, September to September.
