Course description
Course content
-Core programme: clinical governance, evidence based dentistry, management of specialist practice, research methods and teaching.
-Clinical training programme: up to five clinical sessions per week (full time); up to four sessions per week (part time). This includes observation and supervised treatment of patients.
-Research project on a topic related to periodontics, leading to dissertation (10,000-20,000 words)

-Clinical instruction at specialist level

Assessment
-Core programme: assignments, student presentations.
-Clinical work: continuous assessment, annual assessment of portfolio and presentation of clinical cases.
