    The Glasgow School of Social Work is a joint initiative of the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde. The programme is taught at the Jordanhill Campus of the University of Strathclyde.

    Content

    This programme has Economic & Social Research Council recognition and is designed to provide appropriate training for those with professional qualifications and practice experience in the health and social care field. The programme consists of core and optional courses.

    Core courses

        * Social science statistics
        * Qualitative research methods
        * Philosophy of social sciences
        * Preparation dissertation.

    Optional courses (subject to availability) include:

        * Ethics, policy and research practice
        * Evaluation and public policy
        * Understanding social research.
