Course Content
This course provides students with a practical, methodological and theoretical grounding in bioarchaeology. The course consists of 180 credits, 60 of which are linked to the completion of a dissertation of no more than 15,000 words and 15 to a Research Methods module. The remaining credits are accounted for by the following Masters modules:
-Practical Archaeobotany (30 credits)
-Practical Zooarchaeology (30 credits)
-The Anthropology of Traditional Farming: Archaeological Perspectices (15 credits)
-Foodways in Archaeology (30 credits)
Course Structure
You will take 120 credits’ worth of taught modules, including a 15-credit core research methods module, which will provide you with the range of skills necessary for progressing to PhD research.
The remaining 60 credits are allotted to your dissertation.
Assessment methods vary from module to module.
