    This programme provides future nutritionists with specialist knowledge and training in nutrition science, plus the skills necessary for research. The programme attracts a mixture of students from the UK and overseas and has an excellent record for subsequent employment, with the majority of graduates entering further research.

    Content

    This programme has five compulsory courses which are taken in semesters 1 and 2 and the specialisation subject of clinical nutrition. A supervised critical assessment of clinical case studies takes place over the summer semester.

        * Food and nutrient requirements and nutrition through the lifecycle
        * Digestion and absorption and nutritional metabolism
        * Dietary and nutritional assessment
        * Public health nutrition and food choice
        * Clinical nutrition specialisation.

    Plus clinical case studies dissertation.
