PGDip Slovene

  • Objectives The curriculum comprises an intensive language course for absolute beginners. The Diploma focuses on acquisition of grammar and vocabulary, and on reading, comprehension and oral skills to enable you to pursue research in your chosen area. Contact hours are between 12 and 15 per week (depending on numbers) and you are expected to attend all contact hours. There will be assessment to test competence in these skills, including course work, written assessments and an oral exam. For your oral exam you will be asked to make a presentation in your target language in relation to your proposed research project for those continuing to full-time research, or on a topic to be agreed with the Diploma Convenor for those pursuing the Diploma only.

    -Russian has been taught at Nottingham since 1916, making Nottingham one of the first universities in the UK to teach the language.
